Isabelle Thomas-Fogiel (PhD Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne) is a Full Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Ottawa. Broadly, her areas of research interest comprise: Philosophy of art; Continental philosophy (German Idealism); and Post-modernism. Her ongoing research examines the relation between Art and Philosophy (with specific reference to post-modernism theorist); and also the concept of “representation” and the elaboration of a modern “transcendental point of view.” Her publications include: « Coalition des systèmes et topologie des contradictions ; la pratique herméneutique de S.
