NESWALD, Elizabeth

Elizabeth Neswald (PhD Humboldt University in Berlin) is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at Brock University. Her areas of research expertise comprise: Nineteenth century German and British science; The popularisation of science in nineteenth-century Ireland; Religion; and the New media technologies. At present, she holds a grant from the Canadian Institute of Health Research to investigate the history of energetic theories of nutrition in late nineteenth and early twentieth-century Germany and the United States, and the translation of these physiological theories into nutritional practices.
