Agatha Schwartz is an associate professor and Director of the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at the University of Ottawa. She has been teaching German language and culture for about 20 years. Her interests include: women’s literature, Austro-Hungarian studies and gender studies. Her current field of interest is ethnicity, gender and identity formation: Hybridity in the life and work of Juliane Déry and Marie Eugenie delle Grazie.
