COBLEY, Evelyn M.

Evelyn Cobley is a Professor in the Department of English and a faculty participant in the CSPT program. Her research interests deal with theories of literature, culture, and ideology; comparative literature; cultural studies and 20th-century British and American fiction. Some of her recent publications include Representing War: Form and Ideology in First World War Narratives (1993) and Temptations of Faust: The Logic of Fascism and Postmodern Archaeologies of Modernity (2002). She was awarded the Raymond-Klibansky Book Prize for the best work in the Humanities written in English and subsidized by the Aid to Scholarly Publications Programme, 1993-94 as well as two SSHRC Standard research grants recently 1995-98 and 2004-07.
